Layout and dimensions
Draw up a floor plan
Sketching out the room to be renovated is an essential step in your project’s success. It will help you identify constraints and position the main elements in the room.
- Indicate the distance between your walls.
- Specify the location of doors, windows and other space constraints.
- Draw in the location of existing plumbing (bathtub, toilet, shower and furniture) to limit the cost of the work.
- If you want to keep some items, draw them in and indicate their dimensions.
Plan out the space
Our products offer virtually infinite configuration possibilities. Your retailer is your best ally in choosing the layout of your future bathroom.
Possible solutions will need to take many things into consideration: good design practices, electrical and plumbing standards and, of course, your needs. A specific plan for your project will be drawn up by your in-store advisor.
Here are some basic standards to follow:
- Ideally, you’ll want to leave 30" of clearance in front of the bathtub, toilet, vanity and shower.
- Allow a space 30" to 36" wide for the toilet.
