Plan and execute the reno
Set up a logical schedule for your renovations
Every project is different. Countless factors and contingencies can affect how long the work takes. But with any bathroom renovation project, the work will need to follow a logical sequence. Use the timeline below to plan out your own project.
7 key steps in a bathroom renovation
Install water inlets and outlets, electrical input and ventilation ductwork based on current standards. Your dealer can provide you with a specific electrical and plumbing technical sheet for your furniture once your order is placed and confirmed, to help you complete this step.
Install your shower base on an unfinished floor. If your bathtub needs to be installed against a wall, install it before finishing your walls.
Renovate your walls and ceiling. Check the strength of your walls, and reinforce them as needed, especially if you opt for wall-mounted furniture. Paint or lay the tile.
Finish your floor covering.
Install your toilet, shower doors and bathtub (if it’s freestanding).
Install your furniture. Due to the custom nature of our products, we strongly recommend hiring a professional installer who can use our collection-specific installation guides.
Decorate your room, install towel bars and other accessories and enjoy the finished product!
Coordinate the project schedule
Throughout the process, your dealer will guide you every step of the way and coordinate the delivery schedule with you and the suppliers. We regularly update our dealers on our product delivery times so they can keep you in the loop. Here’s an overview of the process, from the time you place your order with the dealer until it is delivered to your home.
1. Processing your order
Processing times vary depending on the complexity of your order. If you have not already done so, we strongly recommend that you use this time to choose the tradespeople who will carry out your project.
2. Final confirmation of your order by your dealer
Once your order is confirmed, your dealer can estimate expected delivery times to your home. They can then help you plan the various steps involved in your renovation.
3. Production of your order
Your products will be made to order at our plant in Terrebonne, Quebec, Canada. Production times vary depending on the product, time of year and, above all, materials. Melamine furniture usually takes less time to produce than a thermo or wood order where some components must be outsourced specifically for your project.
4. Delivery to the retailer
We will deliver your products to your retailer as soon as possible. Your retailer will then bundle all the products you ordered from various suppliers (ceramics, faucets, etc.) before delivering to your home.
5. Delivery to your home
Each product will be packaged separately in its own box, so be sure to clear a fairly large space outside the bathroom where the boxes can be stored. Inspect the boxes when they arrive and report any damage to your dealer right away.
